Upcoming Trade Me Motors price change
On 8 March we’re changing the listing fees for classified listings on Trade Me Motors. All other fees on Trade Me Motors will remain the same.
We’ll be reducing the listing fee for vehicles under $5,000, including adding a new $9.99 listing fee for vehicles under $1,000. We’ll also be adding two new pricing tiers and increasing the listing fees for vehicles over $5,000.

Trade Me Motors price change from today
As we let you know two weeks ago, today we’re making a change to the cap on auction success fees for all vehicles listed via an auction on Trade Me Motors. The success fee remains at 1.95% of the sale price, but the cap will increase from $49 to $99.
We’re also increasing the minimum withdrawal fee for Trade Me Motors auctions from $39 to $49, and the withdrawal fee cap will increase from $49 to $99. All other motors prices remain the same.

Success fees
Auction success fees for all vehicles will remain at 1.95% of the sale price, but the cap will increase from $49 to $99.

Selling a vehicle for under $500?
For a limited time, we’re offering a cheaper fee to list vehicles (as a classified listing) for $500 or less. We’ve dropped the fee by over 50% to just $19.
Introducing car news and reviews
We’re stoked to launch a new section for car news and reviews on Trade Me Motors. These are all written by Kiwis, for Kiwis.
As well as a massive archive of car reviews (thanks to our partners at Auto Media Group), there’ll be new content added every day. This should make it even easier to research vehicles and make informed decisions when you’re buying a car.
