A tweak to our privacy policy
We’re making a couple of tweaks to our privacy policy in light of some awesome new services Trade Me is offering.
Shipping:
Starting this month, some of our sellers will be able to book a courier on Trade Me when they have sold an item. This means a courier will be able to pick up your sold item from your preferred location and deliver it to the buyer. This will be available on the desktop site only, from ‘Sold items’ on your My Trade Me page. We’ll roll this out to all sellers in early November. Redesigned listing page
We’re excited to announce that today we begin rolling out a new listing page in all General Items categories to more members. Up until now, the new page has only been visible to a small group of members, but over the next week or so we plan to roll it out to everyone.
What’s changed?
We’ve redesigned the listing detail page to make the browsing and buying experience better across Trade Me’s desktop site. There’s a fresh new look with tabbed sections for quick access to the Description and Questions & answers. More...

New: Recommended for You
We’ve recently added a new Trade Me homepage stripe called ‘Recommended for You’.
Recommended for You is a tool that makes recommendations for things you may be interested in based on your activity on Trade Me. We think it’s a cool way to help you discover listings in categories you have an interest in.
At the moment, the new stripe will only suggest listings from our general items categories and won’t include suggestions for Property, Motors, Jobs, Services, Flatmates wanted and Businesses for sale listings. More...
Trade Me Property pricing has changed
As we announced two weeks ago, we’ve made some changes to listing fees and promotional fees for private sellers listing property for sale, for rent or car parks on Trade Me Property.

Please note: in our announcement two weeks ago, we made a mistake saying that properties for rent under $450 per week will have a listing fee of $99. This should have said properties for rent under $400 will have a listing fee of $99. Properties for rent between $400-$799 have a new fee of $139. More...
