Simplified pricing is here
As we announced a couple of weeks ago, from today we’ve changed the pricing when you list and sell General items on Trade Me. The pricing has been simplified and we’ve made it easier to create high-quality listings so we can help you sell more items.
Note that there are no fee changes for listings in Motors, Property and Jobs.

More...Old Friends has closed down
Today we switched off oldfriends.co.nz. It wasn’t a decision we made lightly, and we really appreciate the support you’ve given Old Friends over the past 13 years.
We’ve got some good news about the publicly available information though (e.g. photos, lost & found, notices). We’ve been working with the team over at the National Library and they’re in the process of archiving this information via an annual process called a ‘web harvest’. This means that information will remain available even after Old Friends closes. If you have any questions about the web harvest, please get in touch with the National Library.

Pay Now enhancement
We have good news for sellers who are registered for Pay Now and for buyers who love to pay using Pay Now. We have increased the transaction limit from $3,000 to $8,000. You don’t need to do a thing.
Remember Pay Now allows you to pay instantly for Trade Me purchases with your credit or debit card, with all the details on one screen. It’s fast, easy and secure.
Update to the listing process
From today, members will be expected to pay for listing fees upfront during the listing process, rather than letting their account go into debt. We will be rolling this out to different categories across the site in stages.
Top Sellers and members with auto-billing can continue to create listings and have their account go into debt.
