It's Movember!
You might be asking yourself why Kevin the kiwi looks different today. Well, not only does he have a great sense of style, he's also participating in Movember!
Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces during November each year around the world. The aim is to raise awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and depression.

Updates: Terms & conditions and Privacy policy
Terms & conditions
We’ve updated clause 4.2 (c) of our terms and conditions. This clause outlines that items you list must be in your possession, except where Trade Me has approved otherwise in writing. It also clarifies that motor vehicles (as defined under the Motor Vehicle Sales Act) may be listed on the site while in transit to New Zealand.
Payments delay for Labour Day
The banks shut up shop on Monday 22 October for Labour Day, which means some payments to Trade Me accounts will be processed a little later than usual. If you pay via phone or internet banking after 10pm on Friday 19 October, the payment won’t be processed until the morning of Wednesday 24 October. Sorry for any inconvenience caused, but that’s the nature of public holidays. Enjoy the long weekend!
The Trade Me refresh is live
Last month we let you know about our plans to refresh the Trade Me homepage. Today, we’re excited to announce this roll-out of the new look to all members. Our aim with this refresh is to make your favourite things more easily accessible, while still keeping the Trade Me features we all know and love. We’ve taken on feedback from heaps of members along the way to make sure we were on the right track.
We hope you enjoy the new look, and of course you’re welcome to flick us an email to let us know what you think.
Trade Me Trust & Safety blog launched
To be an effective website, Trade Me needs to be trusted and safe. To help our members understand where we’re coming from, we've created the Trust & Safety blog.
To start with we've got a few posts you might want to check out: More...
