Buyer Protection - we’ve got your back
We launched a new initiative today for Trade Me members called Buyer Protection.
If you buy an item on Trade Me Marketplace using our card payment system, and it doesn’t arrive or isn’t as described, we can refund your money*.
Buyer Protection gives you even greater certainty when shopping on Trade Me and comes into effect from 21 February.
In the meantime, please check out the
terms and conditions changes and our new policy. Don’t worry if you have an issue before 21 February, you can still contact us and we’ll do everything we can to help.
This is something you’ve been asking us for and we’re stoked it’s here. We’ve been applying a form of Buyer Protection for years, but we want to make it simpler for members on the off chance something goes wrong.
