6:15pm: Site outage
Trade Me was unexpectedly offline for 20 minutes from 5:40pm to 6:00pm due to a fault with one of our database servers. Any auctions that were due to close during this time were extended by one hour.
We’re extremely sorry for the inconvenience this would have caused and we are currently looking at how we prevent this from reoccurring.
Scheduled maintenance
Trade Me is going to be unavailable between 2am and 5am tomorrow while we do some scheduled maintenance and upgrades. All auctions that are due to close between 2am and 6am will be extended by four hours. Any saved search emails and category subscriptions will be sent after 5am.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
Saved search emails on mobile phones
When viewing saved search emails on your mobile phone, you will now be redirected to our mobile site when clicking on listings. Handy!
Changes to the Top Seller programme
Starting 31 August 2009, Pay Now transactions will incur a fee of 0.95% for Top Sellers. This is due to the increasing bank fees we’ve incurred as Pay Now has become more popular.
For all other sellers, Pay Now transactions remain at 1.95% of the total purchase price.

Wine on Trade Me
We now allow the purchase of wine from approved sellers.
Buyers must be over 18, hold a valid Visa or MasterCard (debit and prepaid cards are not accepted), and meet all of the required conditions.
Wine sellers must meet all of the required conditions and register with Trade Me as a wine seller. More...
