Trade Me Job Profiles

Trade Me set to acquire Motorcentral
Trade Me has entered into a conditional agreement to purchase Motorcentral (motorcentral.co.nz), a cloud-based platform for motor vehicle dealers.
Motorcentral’s system provides dealers with an easy-to-use platform that combines inventory management, customer relationship management, advertising plug-in options and website functions.
The business is based in Christchurch and has 15 staff.
Scheduled maintenance
Trade Me will be unavailable on Thursday, 6 July between 2:00 am and 5:00 am for scheduled maintenance.
All auctions that are due to close between 2:00 am and 5:00 am will be extended by four hours.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
SafeTrader has closed
Today we switched off our escrow payment service SafeTrader.
Very few members still use this service and we want to focus our efforts on developing better products for our members. Buyer Protection, Ping and Pay Now are just some of the newer products we have that provide safety for all members when buying or selling items on Trade Me.
If you're still using SafeTrader to complete a trade then please get in touch with us, so we can help you finalise this.

We’re closing down our escrow payment service SafeTrader on 3 July 2017.
SafeTrader has been around since November 1999, however very few members still use it and there is no longer a strong need for this service. We now have better products that provide safety when buying or selling items on Trade Me such as Buyer Protection, Ping and Pay Now.
We’re always working hard to improve the experience for our members. To focus on building better products, sometimes we choose to stop providing services that are not highly valued or frequently used by our members so we can focus on those that are. More...
