An update to our privacy policy
As we announced on 27 April, today we are making a small change to our privacy policy.
We want to give our members more ways to manage their advertising preferences, so we’re adding links to ad opt-outs run by the Digital Advertising Alliance and National Advertising Initiative.
This should help members have better control over what advertising they see on site.
Using an old internet browser or app version?
If you use an old internet browser or version of our Android app, please update this before 15 May.
Why?
To continue to meet security standards, we (and most other websites) need to make some updates and can no longer support some old browsers and app versions.
How do I know if I need to update my browser?
99% of Trade Me members won’t notice any change, and won’t need to update their browser or app. However, if you haven’t updated your browser or app version in the last few years then it is likely you will need to update it. More...

Scheduled maintenance for Ping payments
Our instant payment system Ping will be unavailable on Wednesday 2 May between 5am and 6am for scheduled maintenance. All other payment methods will be available as normal.
