Trade Me Property: map-based & multi-suburb search
It’s all go here at Trade Me Property! We’ve released a couple of brilliant new features recently that should make your house-hunting life easier. Grab a cuppa and we’ll tell you about them.
Map-based search
We’ve introduced a new map-based tool which enables users to search for properties for sale via an interactive map. We’re also working on having this available for rental properties soon, so keep an eye out.
New: Trade Me Jobs iPhone app
We’re extremely happy to announce the arrival of our new iPhone app for job hunters.
You can use our new app to apply for jobs straight from your smartphone. With around half of all Trade Me site traffic now coming from mobile devices, we thought it was a great time to create something tailored to today’s job hunter.
Category changes: Power tools
Just a wee update from your friendly ‘Category Change’ team – we’ve recently made some useful alterations to the Power tools category.
Here’s a snippet of some of the work we’ve done:
• Concreting tools is now ‘Concrete mixers & tools’
• Tools > Parts & accessories is now ‘Power tools > Accessories & consumables’
• Lifters, props & jacks is now ‘Lifters, winches & hoists’. More...
Adding brand to Trade Me Fashion
We’ve made some big changes in our Clothing & Fashion category recently, and we’re excited to introduce ‘brand’ to the list of optional attributes for sellers.
Sellers can now choose from a list of brands when selling in the Clothing & Fashion category, if appropriate for their item. This will make it easier for buyers to search for and find clothing items on Trade Me.
Using the brand attribute is optional, but we reckon it’s a good idea – the chances of buyers finding your item goes up the more relevant information you provide. More...
New feature: view school zones
In February we added property boundaries to listings on Trade Me Property and today we’re pleased to announce that we’ve released school zone information into the wild.
This means you can now view and filter by 'zone' and 'type' of school in the area for listings that have the correct address information. As with boundary zones, we think this is another handy feature to help potential buyers in their property hunting. It will also be useful for people looking to rent a home in the right place. There is some general information about property maps in our Help section.
