We’ve revised our Privacy policy
We wanted to let you know that we’ve made some changes to our Privacy policy that come into effect today. Most of the changes are to spruce up the language and make it a bit more readable.
However, there is also an important change that relates to the advertisements you see when you visit Trade Me. This change means that we will allow “remarketing” advertising from some advertisers and advertising agencies – previously this had only been done by us.
Remarketing is pretty common around the web. In our case, it will let our advertisers use cookies to reach people who have previously visited Trade Me, and show them relevant ads across the web. More...

Trade Me may be unavailable on Wednesday 30th July between 6:00 am and 6:15 am for scheduled maintenance. All auctions that are due to close between 6:00 am and 6:30 am will be extended by 1 hour.

New digs for Trade Me HQ - and yes, we're hiring!
Over the past few weeks the Trade Me team in Wellington has been moving into a new office. It's nice and new, as well as being informal but serious like us, and we thought you might like to see some pics of it in action.
It’s great having everyone back together in one place – previously we’d had teams in four disparate locations in Wellington.
We pride ourselves on being a great place to work, and we reckon providing our staff with an environment that lines up with the way we tick is important.
